Spokane Fire - CPR Classes Thursday May 23 - 1:02 PM

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

Since the CPR curriculum has recently been significantly modified for bystander CPR and now focuses on citizen "Hands-Only CPR." The traditional means of instruction has been abandoned and the on-line method with our video is being utilized. The Spokane Fire Department offers CPR demonstrations throughout the year at various City of Spokane events (such as the Bloomsday Trade Show) where opportunities exists to reach a significant amount of people. The SFD will no longer be instructing CPR in Fire Stations; all cardiac resuscitation efforts focused for saturating the community with the Hands-Only CPR Curriculum and our Public Automated External Defibrillator (AED) program.

The following are a few Spokane Community Partners which currently teach CPR and First Aid Courses to the public and businesses:

Inland Northwest Chapter of American Red Cross
Inland Northwest Health Services
CPR Safety Services
