| Can We See You?
If you have an emergency in your home or business, we cannot help you if we can’t see your address from the street. When you call 911 for help, a vital piece of information is your address.
Therefore, it is critical that you have your numerical address visible so that emergency vehicles responding to your aid will be able to reach the scene in a timely manner.
In most areas the numerical addresses for each building should be at least 4 inches in height, contrasting color from the background and readily visible from the street (no obstructions such as seasonal decorations, shrubs… etc)
It is especially helpful if the numbers are reflective so that they are visible at night. By posting your home or business numbers you will be helping us help you without unnecessary delays.
Please take the time this weekend to make certain that we can see your address. Taking just a few minutes placing address numbers on your home/business may save a life. |
